Our Story

Agni Restaurant was born out of a South Indian couple wanting to come up with a contemporary dining experience that serves authentic South Indian food. Everything from each ingredient in the menu to the flatware used in the restaurant was hand picked by us, after careful thought and consideration.

Washington Business Journal was kind enough to document our journey towards this restaurant in a multi-part series.

At Agni, our goal is to provide a culinary journey through the true flavors of southern India. Our menu brings some of the largely unexplored flavors from southern Indian states - Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra. Our recipes are everything from grandma's home made to contemporary South Indian.

We also serve a selection of fine Whiskeys, Wines, Beers, and cocktails inspired by Indian flavors.
